Start with a pre-packaged sushi box filled with an eclectic mix of everyday bits and pieces. Add a diverse range of designers from a variety of disciplines. Blend them together to create fresh and original artwork flavoured with the spice of design. This exhibition – a collaboration between Metalab, Cloth and Germany’s mmmh! Designer-Sushi – will display the boxes alongside the new outcomes throughout August. These beautiful and balanced works create order out of chaos while highlighting how everyday objects can act as inpiration to all types of designers.

11am-6pm Wednesday-Friday; 11am-5pm Saturday, 5-28 August
Metalab, 10b Fitzroy Place, Surry Hills
Cost: Free
