FINK: FOSTERING DESIGN

A retrospective exhibition of some of the most outstanding and endearing products developed by celebrated Australian design company FINK + Co. Established in 1994 by Robert Foster, the company has played a critical role in promoting Australian design and nurturing Australian designers. The exhibition has been curated by Merryn Gates for Craft ACT and features the collaborative works of eight artists and designer makers including Sean Booth, Rachel Bowak, Robert Foster, Elizabeth Kelly, Rohan Nichol, Bronwen Riddiford, Oliver Smith and Remi Verchot. The work was recently showcased at the Australian Embassy in Washington.

TALK IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE EXHIBITION FINK: FOSTERING DESIGN
In association with the Fink: Fostering Design exhibition six designers/ design entrepreneurs have 10 minutes each to give a rapid-fire illustrated talk about their experiences of manufacturing and marketing in Australia. The talks will be followed by an open discussion and drinks in the gallery. Speakers include: Oliver Smith, Rohan Nichol, Rina Bernabei and Kelly Freeman (bernabeifreeman), Amy Cunningham, Nina and Cesar Cueva (Metalab) and Robert Foster and Gretel Harrison (FINK + Co).
