TALKS IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE EXHIBITION – ARCHITECTURE FOR PLACE

strong>RICHARD LEPLASTRIER, ARCHITECT

Richard Leplastrier, a seminal figure in Australian architecture and education, discusses the work of award-winning architect Glenn Murcutt in association with the exhibition Architecture for Place.

Richard was winner of the Australian Institute of Architects coveted Gold Medal in 1999 and recipient of the international prize “Spirit of Nature Wood Architecture Award” (other past winners of the Finnish-based award, bestowed every second year, have been Italy’s Renzo Piano, Japan’s Kengo Kuma and Switzerland’s Peter Zumthor). Internationally-acclaimed Leplastrier is perfectly placed to comment authoritatively on Murcutt’s work.
