BEGINNERS GLASSBLOWING WORKSHOP

This hands-on intensive, 3-day workshop provides an introduction to glass-blowing techniques with a focus on studio safety and the added benefit of excellent student/teacher ratios. Learn from experienced professional tutors who will guide you through all the principal skills and techniques you will need to make your own variety of forms, such as plates, vases, bowls and solid glass objects. Utilizing the teaching resources and studio facilities of the Sydney College of the Arts Glass Studio, students will learn to gather glass from the furnace and the fundamentals of glassblowing via hands – on experience, demonstrations and discussions. No prior glass-experience is required.
