As part of this year’s Sydney Design Festival, AECOM (a consultancy focused on creating more liveable and connected cities) is creating a city-wide conversation, gathering the thoughts of those who live or work in the city, as well as the thousands of local or overseas tourists who visit Sydney every day. The aim of this conversation is to think about what makes Sydney great, and how to plan for the future of the city.
There will be plenty of ways to contribute via an interactive survey. Throughout the festival you’ll be able to contribute in person via our iPad installation at the Powerhouse Museum, or online at Sydconnected.com. You’ll also see posters around the city encouraging contributions.
All ideas from the data collected will be shared with the industry – at a satellite event, hosted by AECOM (attended by a mix of planners, engineers, developers, architects, urban designers, local government, state government, economists and academia) – so that the industry and city can better understand what to focus on in the future to maintain and sustain Sydney as a world-class city.
You can help shape Sydney’s future through the way that you live, the things you design, and the work that you do. This conversation about the future of Sydney is people-powered, digitally-enabled and will bring together a diverse range of thoughts on the city. You have a voice to participate and engage in the future of this city.
If you are from the industry and interested in attending the satellite event please contact Juli Anderson on the enquiries email listed on this page. For media enquiries, please contact Tim McNamara at Tim.McNamara@aecom.com
