The beating heart of Sydney Design 09, this unique creative platform and temporary restaurant explores sustainable practice in design. It’s a place to meet; it’s a specially-designed and built venue inside the Museum for talks, events, products, ideas as well as a cup of coffee or a delicious meal.
The vision of Cilla Maden of Collaborate, Eat Green Design has been designed and purpose-built by award-winning architect Hannah Tribe of Tribe Studio, Surry Hills. The menu has been devised by renowned chef Jared Ingersoll of Danks Street Depot.
Eat Green Design also showcases a selection of innovative, sustainable products from independent and emerging eco-designers around Australia including Design By Them, Toby Horrocks, Lightly, Spaceleft and ISM Objects. Limited edition pieces created for Eat Green Design will be available for purchase at Young Blood: Designers Market.
A stimulating line-up of guest speakers talking about sustainable business, living, lifestyle design and architecture will feature at the breakfast and dinners (bookings are essential, click on each date below for more information on the speakers).
Or drop in to Eat Green Design during the day for a coffee and catch talks at midday by designers involved with the project and other guest speakers. View the schedule of daily speakers (free with Museum admission).
